Cleo has spent her career in museums and education, specialising in the decorative arts and the history of design.
Cleo recently retired as Head of Education at the Holburne Museum of Art in Bath and was formerly Curator of Applied Art at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery and Curator of Decorative Art at the Holburne.
She has been involved with crafts and craftspeople in the South West since the 1970s through her teaching at the University of the West of England and Bath Spa University College, and her work at the 20th Century Crafts Study Centre.
Cleo has lectured extensively in the history of art and design, particularly for the University of Bristol. Her particular interests are in the decorative arts and the crafts, specifically ceramics and textiles. She was elected a Fellow of the Museums Association in 1975 and of the Royal Society of Arts in 2005.
