Treasure began her working life in a Bristol architect's office, which gave her a lasting interest in buildings, design and the crafts. She then worked as a coordinator in the National Health Service, arranging conferences and meetings for GP Fundholding, before retiring. She continues her interest in architecture through travel and a house in the ramparts of a medieval town in Lot et Garonne in France, where there is a lively art and craft scene, and a wealth of chateaux to explore.
