Ceramicist Alison Shanks’s work was fascinated by dolls and puppets in her second year at Bath Spa University. So a Gane Travel Scholarship sent her to Moscow to see the famous Obraztsov Puppet Theatre and its workshop – and she eve fitted in a visit to the Little Theatre in St. Petersburg, and some wonderful museums.
